From the Principal

Season's Greetings!

As we enter the holiday season, I want to take the opportunity to thank students, parents, and staff for their dedication and commitment to making Springfield School such a great place to learn and grow! Please continue to encourage your children to read everyday, maintain regular daily attendance, and follow Our Community expectations.  It truly does make a difference!

Holiday Events

December tends to be a very busy month as we try to fit in many tasks, projects, and events before the ending of the year.  Be sure to stay on top of what's in your child's take-home folder and/or the many Seesaw messages about upcoming activities.

Some highlights include:

Winter Spirit Days

Parent Group Family Movie Night - 12/6 @ 5:45 p.m. (Polar Express)

Holiday Gift Shop - 12/10, 12/11, 12/12 - during school hours

Winter Band Concert - 12/16 @ 6 p.m. (Kolmar)

Winter Choir Concert - 12/17 @ 6 p.m. (Bremen H.S.)

Classroom Christmas Party - 12/20

If you have any questions/concerns regarding holiday happenings, please don't hesitate to contact the Main Office at (708) 388-4121.

Winter Weather

We kindly ask that all students are sent to school with proper winter wear each day. Please review our Cold Weather Reminders that were sent home last month. Also, to ensure the safety of our students during colder temperatures and winter weather conditions, please do not drop students off before 8:15 a.m., which is when doors are opened and proper staff supervision begins.

As we finish out the end of 2024, I want to wish everyone an enjoyable and well-deserved winter break.  There will be NO SCHOOL beginning December 23rd through January 6th. Students will return for instruction on Tuesday, January 7th.

I hope your family has the opportunity to connect with loved ones and spend time doing the things that bring you happiness during this time.

Best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year!

Mrs. Brown
